Accounting Service Representative II (6-month contract)

Job Summary
Perform daily reconciliation of claims recoveries, coordinate intercompany fund transfers, and prepare monthly journal entries. Investigate discrepancies from recovery reconciliations, serve as backup for weekly financial report distribution, and assist with clearing legacy GL accounts. Support implementation of financial internal controls recommendations and provide administrative support for purchase orders and payments. Share process improvement opportunities with management. Requires bilingualism (English and French), a college diploma in accounting, at least one year of similar experience, and knowledge of MS Office Suite. This 6-month contract offers a salary range of $47,100 to $57,500 for a 35-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- College Diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- At least 1 year experience in a similar rôle
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power BI, etc.)
- Efficiency and attention to detail
- Proactive, desire to learn and understand, and a strong interest in teamwork
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to establish good working relationships
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- No work experience in Canada required, but must have authorization to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the insurance field is an asset
