Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end general ledger close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments. Ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations, resolve outstanding variances, and analyze financial data to support management reporting. Support internal and external audit activities through documentation and responses while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Partner with finance and business teams to gather information, improve general ledger processes, and enhance efficiency and accuracy. Bachelor's degree in Commerce with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience required, along with ERP system proficiency such as SAP or Oracle. Located in Mumbai, this role contributes to a high-performing finance organization within Kantar's global marketing data and analytics business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce
- 10 to 12 years of relevant industry experience
- CA Inter
- 10 to 12 years of experience in general ledger and audit
- MBA Finance
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with accounting concepts
- Experience with journal preparation
- Experience with balance sheet schedule preparation
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and care
