Accounting Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead cross-functional accounting and finance projects from planning through implementation, driving process improvements across month-end close, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Document and standardize accounting procedures, coordinate workstreams for system implementations, and support ERP, CRM, and financial system enhancements. Strengthen internal controls, ensure US GAAP compliance, and assist with external audits across multiple jurisdictions. Analyze workflows to recommend improvements, develop KPIs, and automate key manual processes to reduce close timelines. Partner with Operations, Sales, Product, and IT to improve financial processes and support new product integrations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience leading projects or process improvement initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- CPA preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems
- Experience in travel, hospitality, SaaS, or another multi-entity environment
- International accounting experience
- Multi-currency and multi-entity accounting
- Experience with automation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar
