Job Summary
Review and accurately post incoming payments to appropriate accounts by verifying amounts, dates, and supporting details before entry. Identify discrepancies, missing information, or duplicate transactions, then research account data and collaborate with team members to resolve issues. Maintain organized financial records, assist with daily payment balancing and account reconciliation, and review completed work for accuracy. Adhere to established procedures for processing, documenting, and posting payments while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive financial information. This in-office role requires Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm attendance with a 1-hour unpaid lunch and two paid breaks. Lotane & Associates, P.A. supports client recovery for insurance carriers, hospitals, and commercial entities in Brevard County.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
- Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain data
- Ability to follow established procedures and instructions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial, client, and consumer information
- Dependable and able to manage assigned responsibilities independently after training
- Willingness and ability to learn new systems, procedures, and accounting processes
- In-office location (not remote)
- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm schedule
- 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Two 15-minute paid breaks
- No evening or weekend shifts
