Job Summary
Lead day-to-day accounts payable across multiple corporate and property-level entities, supervise AP staff, and drive scalable AP processes and controls in a multi-entity real estate development portfolio. Own AP workflows, vendor onboarding, payment approvals, wire setups, and disbursement processing; oversee 1099 processing and related compliance; coordinate invoice processing for development projects, construction activity, property operations, and corporate expenses. Partner with project accounting, fund accounting, asset management, and finance leadership; influence month-end close and AP reporting. Drive the long-term utilization and optimization of Yardi as the ERP platform. This hands-on, leadership-first role requires an operational accounting professional who can balance execution with process improvement, team development, and systems optimization. Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Recommended experience includes managing AP in a multi-entity environment, exposure to construction draws and lien waiver processes, and strong vendor management and AP best practices. The position offers visibility to executive leadership in a high-growth, entrepreneurial real estate investment and development platform.
Required Qualifications
- 8–15 years accounting or accounts payable experience with supervisory/management responsibility
- Experience managing AP operations in a multi-entity environment
- Real estate, construction, development, infrastructure, hospitality, or related industry experience preferred
- Prior exposure to Yardi or other large ERP systems strongly preferred
- Experience building or improving AP processes, workflows, and internal controls
- Strong communication skills for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
