Job Summary
Reconcile open AR accounts, manage general ledger reconciliations, and process credit memos and refunds. Troubleshoot errors within the accounting/ERP and order entry systems while maintaining customer master files and responding to invoice inquiries. Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to resolve collection issues and support the month-end closing process. Assume responsibility for larger, complex accounts and participate in process planning for unique, nonstandard accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field
- 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience within the accounts receivable or accounting function in a dynamic company
- Associated Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related fields
- 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience within the accounts receivable or accounting function in a dynamic company
- Thorough understanding of accounting concepts including journal entries, general ledgers, subledgers, reconciliations, and a working knowledge of financial statements
- Experience in multisystem operations with an understanding for integrations within each system
- Has the ability to learn new systems and work collaboratively to utilize systems and technology to improve efficiency
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookup/XLookup, and financial analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across different means of communication
- Work effectively in a dynamic growing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Think and act quickly to provide timely resolution to issues
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system
- Industry experience of one or more of the following: retail, manufacturing, consumer products, eCommerce
