Job Summary
Accounting Operations Administrator will own core accounting functions (bookkeeping, AP/AR, payroll, monthly reconciliations), manage the monthly close process, maintain and audit financial systems (QuickBooks, Ramp, Rippling), oversee AR and AP workflows, manage payroll-related financial operations, lead the implementation and management of job costing, and develop monthly reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into costs and profitability. The role partners with sales and leadership to drive process improvements, operational effectiveness, and accurate financial data, and reports directly to the owners. Key attributes include attention to detail, systems-thinking, proactive problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and ability to operate both at detail and strategic levels.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of experience in accounting/finance with hands-on responsibility across bookkeeping, AP/AR, and reconciliations
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (or similar) and financial systems management
- Experience managing payroll and HR-related financial processes
- Experience building or managing reporting, dashboards, or financial analysis
- Experience with job costing, project-based accounting, or cost tracking systems
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to work cross-functional and communicate financial information clearly
