Job Summary
Maintain accounting records, perform routine data entry for accounts payable and receivable, and prepare periodic financial reports. Review financial records to identify discrepancies, manage petty cash, and conduct bank transactions. Prepare debit and credit journal entries, monitor expenditures against profits, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax laws. Manage filing systems and maintain accurate transaction databases while providing financial information to regulatory agencies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations. One to two years of post-NYC experience in an accounting role is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or HND in accounting from an accredited institution
- 1 - 2 years post-NYCS experience in an accounting or similar role
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Good knowledge of accounting procedures and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Good knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Good knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
Desired Qualifications
- ICAN or ACCA certification
