Job Summary
Manage end-to-end client billing, accounts payable, and payroll processing while overseeing month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting. Coordinate statutory compliance, external audits, and tax filings to ensure local legal obligations are met. Partner with Customer Success and regional leadership to analyze financial performance, monitor customer profitability, and optimize operating expenses. Support employment administration, office facilities management, and process improvement initiatives. Based in Prague, Czech Republic, this role requires a CPA or equivalent, 5+ years of finance experience, and bilingual proficiency in English and Czech.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including experience in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, or Czech GAAP
- Understanding of external and internal financial reporting along with internal controls
- Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
- Experience coordinating with external accounting firms, auditors, payroll providers, and tax advisors
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, statutory compliance, and financial operations
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information and communicate insights that support operational and strategic decision-making
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/accounting systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships across Finance, Operations, Customer Success, and executive leadership
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous process improvement in a fast-paced, international business environment
- Professional proficiency in English required
- Czech language required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company
- CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Experience supporting multinational organizations with multiple legal entities
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Fidoo, Digitoo, Oracle, and Microsoft systems
- Experience with expense management systems such as Concur
- Experience supporting statutory audits, tax filings, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience developing and improving accounting policies, financial controls, and business processes
- Experience partnering with operational leaders to improve profitability and financial performance
- Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment, ideally within a multinational organization
