Job Summary
Accounting Manager role in Los Angeles (on-site) supporting the Corporate Accounting Director by managing critical areas of the month/quarter/year-end close, preparing audit schedules, and ensuring US GAAP compliance. Responsibilities include researching and documenting US GAAP applications for complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations), establishing internal controls, identifying process improvements, and leading accounting staff training and motivation. The ideal candidate will handle multiple tasks, solve problems independently, and contribute to diverse accounting functions within a growing company. Requirements: bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 5–7 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, effective communication and analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to train/manage staff. Salary range: $120,000–$155,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5 – 7 years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and stress management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Ability to train and manage staff
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
