Job Summary
Accounting Manager leads the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, overseeing full-cycle accounting (general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll support) and ensures accuracy of financial reporting. Partners with leadership on process improvement, strengthens internal controls, and supports audits and tax coordination. Mentors junior staff, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and helps shape scalable accounting infrastructure in a high-growth financial services environment in Bethesda. Growth track to Director of Accounting highlights opportunities for leadership progression.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and monthly close processes
- Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
