Job Summary
Accounting Manager with construction/project-based industry experience to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage core accounting functions, and support financial reporting. Responsibilities include leading, mentoring and training an accounting team; overseeing AP, AR, GL and Payroll; participating in month-end close, financial reporting, and external audits; applying project accounting concepts (percentage of completion, WIP, job costing); and leveraging ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint a plus) with strong Excel analytics and forecasting skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience within construction or a similar industry
- Must have experience leading, mentoring and training an accounting team
- Must have strong understanding of Project Accounting, percentage of completion, WIP and job costing
- Oversee all Financial operations (AP, AR, GL and Payroll functions) while also participating in month end close, financial reporting, and external audits
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint is a plus)
- Advanced financial analytical, modeling (trends, variances), forecasting and Excel skills (pivot tables, Lookups, etc.)
