Job Summary
Lead accounting operations for a commercial contractor by overseeing the monthly close, GL maintenance, and a small accounting team; manage treasury activities, sales/use tax compliance in Colorado, and provide job costing and financial reporting to division managers. Requires hands-on job costing, ASC 606 knowledge, and experience supervising AP/AR/purchasing; preferred familiarity with QuickBooks Online and field-service ERP software (Aspire).
Required Qualifications
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or a comparable field-service trade environment
- Hands-on job costing experience: WIP, job costing, variance analysis
- Working knowledge of Colorado sales and use tax, specifically use tax calculation across multiple jurisdictions
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition concepts, ASC 606
- Month-end close and general ledger ownership
- Experience in an accounting manager, lead, or supervisor role
