Job Summary
Provide leadership and overall management expertise for all aspects of accounting activities, including related production processes, financial analysis, internal and external reporting, and compliance requirements. Manage a team supporting business sub-segments or functions, ensuring accounting policies and operating procedures are followed while working with internal auditors, external accountants, and banking regulators. Oversee and evaluate staff activities, support recruiting and coaching, and manage the analysis and resolution of routine accounting issues. Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use in accordance with GAAP and Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Identify opportunities for process improvements and forecast business activity based on past, present, and expected operations.
Required Qualifications
- Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree
- Industry experience is typically 8+ years
- At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required
Desired Qualifications
- Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
