Job Summary
Lead the Operational Accounting team (14 professionals based in Stockholm/Frankfurt) within a regulated banking environment; own and oversee monthly-, quarterly-, and yearly closings; ensure accurate, timely accounting and high-quality documentation; drive cross-functional projects, process improvements, and system integrations; implement new accounting requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen financial governance and operational efficiency; requires a Bachelor’s degree and several years of international accounting experience, with fluency in Swedish and English.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Several years (approximately 5+ years) of experience in accounting roles, ideally with group accounting or international environment with accounting operations across multiple legal entities
- Hands-on accounting experience from an international environment
- Experience leading teams to support change in ways that build trust and capability
- Professional written and spoken fluency in Swedish and English with ability to communicate effectively across different levels and parts of the organization
- Interest and experience in process improvement and automation
