Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Job Summary
Own SaaS Revenue (ASC 606) and lead the monthly close in a fast-moving SaaS environment. Drive revenue recognition across subscriptions and bundled offerings, review customer contracts for ASC 606 alignment, and maintain SSP methodologies and revenue policies. Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations to structure deals with accounting in mind. Manage intercompany activity, consolidations, and foreign currency/CTA considerations. Lead the close process, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure audit readiness. Drive system improvements and automation (Dynamics 365, Maxio) to scale processes and support tax/compliance efforts. Strong emphasis on ownership, autonomy, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12 years accounting experience (mix of public accounting + industry strongly preferred)
- Strong experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition
- CPA preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or similar)
- Experience with Maxio or similar revenue tools is a plus
- Solid understanding of intercompany accounting and consolidations
- Familiarity with state tax concepts (nexus, compliance)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
