Job Summary
Close the books on a timely basis, provide financial analysis on trends and budget variances, and oversee financial reporting systems and dashboards. Manage the annual financial audit preparation process and assist the tax preparer with income tax returns and compliance requirements. Support the implementation of accounting systems for sales, disbursements, and cash management, while overseeing HR and benefits administration. Hire and supervise supporting staff as company growth requires, though currently operating as an individual contributor. This hybrid role reports to the CEO and Fractional CFO, offering flexible hours and remote work options for candidates with a Bachelor's degree and five years of progressive accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years or more of progressive experience in an Accounting Manager role
- Experience with a mix of companies including early stage, high tech/ high growth, and companies with $10-50M in revenue
- Experience converting to new processes and systems
- Demonstrable strength in operations and the use of software to improve efficiency
- Comfort using both Google Apps for business and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Google Sheets and Excel
- High degree of motivation, professionalism, and integrity along with the ability to work in an unstructured environment
- Hybrid position with candidates being able to work from home and come into the office to work a couple days a week
- Willing to consider flexible working hours
