Job Summary
Senior Accountant at Ripple based in Chicago responsible for Broker-Dealer Accounting and Regulatory Reporting (FOCUS filings, net capital, customer reserve calculations, GL close, reconciliations, and journal entries), as well as Digital Asset Finance and Accounting (mark-to-market valuations, custody reconciliations, on-chain/off-chain reconciliations, and accounting policies for digital assets). Supports monthly/quarterly financial statements, audits, and internal controls (SOD, reconciliation sign-offs), and participates in system/process improvements. Requires strong knowledge of SEC/FINRA requirements, U.S. GAAP, and Excel; CPA preferred. Salary range for NY noted as $140,000–$160,000, with variability by experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license or active candidacy strongly preferred
- 3–6 years of accounting experience, with exposure to broker-dealer accounting, financial services, or public accounting
- Working knowledge of SEC Rules 15c3-1 and 15c3-3, FINRA financial reporting requirements, and FOCUS Report preparation
- Proficiency in U.S. GAAP financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills; experience with general ledger systems
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
