Job Summary
Lead the accounting function for a waterpark operating asset by owning the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar and delivering accurate financial reporting to leadership. Supervise and develop staff accountants while reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers to maintain a strong internal control environment. Conduct variance analysis, generate timely reports, and analyze financial data to identify trends and operational efficiencies. Drive the annual budget process, manage cash flow forecasting, and oversee accounts payable, receivable, and revenue accounting including POS reconciliation. Ensure all activities comply with GAAP standards and manage annual audits as the primary liaison with external auditors. Complete state sales tax filings and enforce company accounting policies. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 6+ years of full-cycle experience and strong Oracle NetSuite skills. Night shift (US Timezone).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years supervising or reviewing the work of other accountants
- Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with the Oracle NetSuite accounting system
- Ability to own the general ledger, financial statements, and the close process
- Proven ability to manage, review, and develop accounting staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong cross-functional partnership with operations, front office, leadership, and ownership
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable insight for non-financial stakeholders
- High attention to detail, organization, and accountability for team deliverables
- Night Shift availability (US Timezone)
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Waterpark or attractions industry experience
- Experience with the RocketRez system
- Experience with Toast Point of Sale system
