Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, and fixed assets. Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance, including managing Form 990, NAIS reporting, and audit deliverables. Serve as subject matter expert for PeopleSoft (Financials & GL) and partner with HR/Finance on system integration and reporting. Oversee cash management and banking activities while providing leadership across accounting and shared services. This on-site role in Hershey, PA requires a CPA with 8+ years of experience to drive process improvements in a mission-driven organization serving 2,200 students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
