Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while owning financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance. Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, cash management, and banking activities. Serve as SME for PeopleSoft (Financials & GL), manage Form 990 and NAIS reporting, and partner across HR/Finance on system integration. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services to ensure strong decision support. This on-site role in Hershey, PA, supports a mission-driven organization serving 2,200 students with a salary of $83,000-$111,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
