Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, and fixed assets. Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance, including managing Form 990 and NAIS reporting deliverables. Serve as subject matter expert for PeopleSoft financials and GL, partnering with HR on system integration. Oversee cash management and banking activities while providing leadership across accounting and shared services. This on-site role supports Milton Hershey School's mission to provide a cost-free home and top-notch education to over 2,200 disadvantaged students. The position requires a CPA with 8+ years of experience to ensure financial integrity and drive process improvements in this uniquely resourced, mission-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
