Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management activities. Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance, including Form 990 and NAIS reporting deliverables. Serve as SME for PeopleSoft (Financials & GL) and partner with HR/Finance on system integration. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services to ensure strong decision support. This role supports Milton Hershey School's mission to provide a cost-free home and top-notch education to over 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The position requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance with a required CPA, 8+ years of experience, and expertise in financial reporting and ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
