Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while owning financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance. Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management activities. Manage Form 990, NAIS reporting, and audit deliverables; serve as SME for PeopleSoft (Financials & GL) and partner across HR/Finance on system integration. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services to drive process improvements in a complex environment. This on-site role supports Milton Hershey School's mission to provide a cost-free home and top-notch education to over 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
