Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while owning financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance. Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, cash management, and banking activities. Manage Form 990 and NAIS reporting deliverables and serve as the SME for PeopleSoft financials and general ledger. Partner with HR and Finance on system integration and reporting. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services to drive process improvements in a complex environment. This on-site role supports Milton Hershey School's mission to provide a cost-free home and top-notch education to 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
