Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while owning financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance. Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, cash management, and banking activities. Manage Form 990, NAIS reporting, and audit deliverables, serving as the subject matter expert for PeopleSoft financials and GL. Partner across HR and Finance on system integration and reporting, providing leadership to the accounting and shared services teams. This on-site role supports Milton Hershey School's mission to provide a cost-free home and top-notch education to over 2,200 disadvantaged students, requiring a CPA with 8+ years of experience in a fast-paced, values-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
