Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while owning financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance. Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management activities. Manage Form 990 and NAIS reporting, serve as SME for PeopleSoft financials, and partner with HR/Finance on system integration. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services to ensure strong decision support. This on-site role in Hershey, PA, requires a CPA with 8+ years of experience to modernize financial operations within a mission-driven organization serving 2,200 students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
