Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while owning financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance. Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management activities. Manage Form 990 and NAIS reporting deliverables, serving as the subject matter expert for PeopleSoft financials and general ledger. Partner across HR and Finance on system integration and reporting to drive process improvements in a complex environment. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services. This on-site role supports a mission-driven organization serving 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, requiring a CPA with 8+ years of experience to ensure financial integrity essential to the school's perpetuity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
