Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, and fixed assets. Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance, including managing Form 990 and NAIS reporting. Serve as subject matter expert for PeopleSoft (Financials & GL) and partner across HR/Finance on system integration. Oversee cash management and banking activities while providing leadership across accounting and shared services. This on-site role in Hershey, PA requires a CPA with 8+ years of experience to drive process improvements in a complex environment. Candidates must demonstrate extraordinary accuracy, exceptional communication skills, and a high degree of integrity to support a mission-driven organization serving disadvantaged students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
