Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management activities. Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance, including Form 990 and NAIS reporting, and serve as the SME for PeopleSoft financials. Partner across HR and Finance on system integration and reporting, providing leadership to the accounting and shared services teams. Manage annual audit support and tax form preparation to ensure strong decision support across the organization. This on-site role in Hershey, PA, requires a CPA with 8+ years of experience to drive process improvements within a mission-driven, values-based culture that actively engages with students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
