Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes while overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management activities. Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance, including Form 990 and NAIS reporting. Serve as subject matter expert for PeopleSoft financials and partner with HR on system integration. Provide leadership across accounting and shared services to ensure financial accuracy and compliance across the organization. This on-site role supports a mission-driven pre-K through 12th grade school serving over 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting/finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP
- ERP experience
- Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment
- Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
