Job Summary
The Accounting Manager will own the accounting function for a portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers, leading the month-end close, ensuring accurate financial statements, and maintaining balance sheet controls. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring staff accountants, driving high-quality reporting, and improving accounting processes. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, along with 5-7 years of relevant experience, a strong understanding of GAAP, and excellent analytical and leadership skills are required. Preferred qualifications include healthcare accounting experience, CPA certification, and Sage ERP experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field required
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Strong analytical, project management, leadership, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Experience reviewing the work of others and providing guidance to staff accountants
- Strong organizational skills
- Advanced Excel skills
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare accounting experience preferred
- CPA preferred
- Sage ERP experience preferred
