Job Summary
Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller in Irvine, CA overseeing day-to-day accounting operations across multiple client engagements, including billing, A/R, A/P, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and revenue recognition. Responsible for month-end and year-end close, establishing and maintaining accounting policies, standardizing systems and reporting, conducting internal financial analysis, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting external auditors. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (management role), proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; candidate will interact across levels in a client-facing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including experience in an accounting manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) required; experience with multiple ERP systems is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a client-facing environment
