Accounting Manager, Nordics

Job Summary
Own the Nordics month and quarter end close from end to end, ensuring the reported balance sheet and profit and loss are accurate, compliant, and delivered within corporate deadlines. Plan, communicate, and coordinate the NDX close locally and with shared services teams while safeguarding the quality and integrity of financial reporting. Take responsibility for statutory reporting for Sweden, supporting Denmark, Norway, and Finland, and run all internal and external audits under SOX. Act as the regional authority on accounting treatment, assuring correct inventory valuation and chemical tax reporting. Lead and develop the local accounting team while driving process improvements across the finance organization. Fluent Swedish and English required.
Required Qualifications
- Solid accounting and finance experience from an international environment
- Relevant degree
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of working with a shared services set-up
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Working knowledge of Swedish statutory accounting
- Working knowledge of local VAT
- Working knowledge of income tax
- Working knowledge of SOX
- SAP experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise against close deadlines
- Self-motivated, hands-on approach
- Ability to take ownership and drive improvements independently
- Fluent Swedish
- Fluent English, written and spoken
