Job Summary
Accounting Manager at Bowline Point Generating Station is responsible for all accounting activities at the plant, including maintaining general ledger, preparing journal entries, budget variance analysis, month-end close, forecasting, fixed asset management, inventory control, insurance processing, treasury duties, and coordinating audits with external auditors. The role supports strategic financial decision-making, collaborates with the Owner Representative, Plant Manager, and Asset Manager, and requires strong GAAP knowledge, budgeting and forecasting expertise, experience with ERP systems, and leadership of accounting staff. The position is based in West Haverstraw, NY, on-site, and offers a base salary of $118,000 to $165,000 plus annual incentive eligibility, with adherence to fitness-for-duty and safety programs and a standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional extended hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Minimum of ten years of relevant professional accounting experience
- At least five years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience leading accounting staff and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
