Accounting Manager - Munich

Job Summary
Manage the financial close process by taking full ownership of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles, ensuring all entries, accruals, and reconciliations are completed efficiently under German accounting standards. Prepare comprehensive financial statements for internal management and external reporting, while overseeing accounts receivable aging, vendor payments, and cash flow monitoring. Serve as the primary contact for external accounting firms and tax advisors, develop e-invoicing procedures, and review VAT and corporate tax returns for compliance. This full-time role in Munich requires relocation and includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, native German proficiency, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting and/or finance experience
- Native in German & fluent in English
- Ability to work independently on the monthly accounting cycle
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of German GAAP
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or other accounting software
Desired Qualifications
- Plus if you have Prior experience in public accounting
- Experience in the software industry or a multinational company
- Knowledge in German or European tax
- CPA or German equivalent (WP)
