Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, managing SAP FICO, MM, and Asset Accounting modules to ensure accurate U.S. GAAP compliance. Supervise internal accounting staff, conduct performance reviews, and mentor team members while overseeing inventory valuation, cost accounting, and fixed asset management. Coordinate internal and external audits, manage tax filings, and monitor cash balances and forecasts. Prepare consolidated financial statements and support budget preparation for senior management. Foster continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve transactional issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of cost accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of inventory valuation
  • Strong technical knowledge of fixed asset accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Hands-on experience leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes using SAP
  • Experience with SAP FICO modules
  • Experience with SAP MM modules
  • Experience with SAP Asset Accounting (AA) modules
  • Demonstrated ability to research and implement new accounting guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to develop accounting policies
  • Demonstrated ability to determine appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions
  • Proven ability to manage financial close activities
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate financial statements and reporting packages within established deadlines
