Job Summary

Accounting Manager oversees the accounting department, manages daily operations, staff, internal controls and financial reporting. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, timely account reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, project accounting and cash receipts; leading and developing the accounting team; maintaining robust internal controls and procedures to ensure GAAP and federal regulatory compliance; evaluating processes for efficiency; coordinating with external accounting firm for the annual audit and assisting with the 990 filing; preparing monthly financial reports and financial analysis for leadership; supporting the annual budget and ad hoc reporting; and providing guidance to the Finance Director. Requires strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills; Workday experience is a plus; MS Office proficiency required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of experience
  • Sufficient accounting and supervisory experience
  • On-site presence required (regular attendance on-site)
  • CPA designation preferred (not required)
