ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Job Summary
Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger review, ALCO reporting, and managing the investment portfolio while maintaining pledging requirements for public funds. Establish and enforce accounting standards, policies, and procedures for both the bank and holding company, ensuring accurate preparation and filing of regulatory reports such as the Quarterly Call Report and FR Y-8. Coach team members to deliver high-quality internal and external service while presenting financial information at committee meetings as needed. Maintain current knowledge of banking laws, GAAP, and management practices to support the organization's financial strength. Full-time exempt role with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of banking experience
- 5+ years of accounting-related experience or equivalent educational experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting for financial institutions, including: GAAP
- Strong knowledge of accounting for financial institutions, including: Banking laws and regulations
- Strong knowledge of accounting for financial institutions, including: Regulatory reporting requirements
- Advanced financial analysis skills
- Advanced Excel skills or equivalent experience with financial software
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to lead a team, manage deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy
- Additional evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required
