Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Manage accounting operations in the SSEA Region by ensuring accuracy in reconciliation, settlements, and postings while guiding Accounting Shared Services Centers on day-to-day closing activities. Prepare and file statutory financial statements, tax submissions, and regulatory compliance matters for entities in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Analyze financial performance trends, liaise with external auditors and government authorities, and monitor changes in local accounting standards to ensure adherence to group policies and internal controls. Guide the Shared Services team on monthly financial reporting, establish accounting policies, and drive process improvement and standardization across finance functions. Participate in ad-hoc finance projects and system implementation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong management accounting skillset
- Problem solving skills
- Analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in SAP ECC/4 HANA
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle conditions of uncertainty
- Demonstrated track record of being able to work within deadlines
- Degree in Finance/Accountancy
- English (Fluent)
- Malay
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in accounting transformation and system migration
- Good understanding and experience in commodity industry business
