Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Own assigned general accounting responsibilities including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly financial close. Lead the Order-to-Cash team across billing, cash application, collections, and customer deductions while troubleshooting EDI orders and trade funding. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls by reviewing aging reports, deduction reserves, and reconciliations to improve working capital performance through DSO reduction. Coach and develop the team, establish accounting policies for new initiatives, and partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and IT to resolve system issues and implement continuous improvements. Report to the Controller with a hybrid schedule of three days in the South Pittsburg campus office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with increasing leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of general and Accounts Receivable accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Experience managing teams within accounting, shared services, or Order-to-Cash functions
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining strong financial controls
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Advanced Excel and ERP experience
- South Pittsburg, TN (hybrid)
- Finance team is in the office at our South Pittsburg campus 3 days a week and remote for 2 days a week
Desired Qualifications
- Consumer products or manufacturing experience
- Experience with customer deductions, trade promotions, retail chargebacks, or post-audit claim recovery
- Familiarity with EDI processes and retailer compliance requirements
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or demonstrated continuous improvement leadership
