Job Summary
Partner with the broader Finance team to optimize close timelines and implement scalable processes while leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes under U.S. GAAP. Perform account fluctuation analyses, investigate variances, and oversee balance sheet reconciliations using FloQast or similar tools to ensure assigned accounts are fully reconciled, supported, and documented. Coordinate Prepared-By-Client requests for external audits, track deliverables across stakeholders, and partner with auditors to address inquiries efficiently. Manage and mentor a growing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This role supports Kodiak Robotics' scaling operations in autonomous ground transportation, focusing on accelerating month-end close and enhancing audit readiness within a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience supporting audits and coordinating PBC requests
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to drive deadlines in a high-growth environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Cross-functional collaboration experience
- Experience overseeing the accounting for manufacturing operations
- Experience with cost accounting
- Experience with labor and materials tracking
- Experience with inventory capitalization
