Job Summary
Accounting Manager at Pilgrim’s responsible for all financial aspects of live operations accounting, partnering with operations and accounting management to reduce costs through reporting and analysis, and overseeing weekly and monthly financial preparation, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP. Duties include preparing financial reports and variance analyses, budgeting coordination, payroll oversight, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory controls, and coordination with internal and external audits. Requires experience with SAP or similar ERP, Excel, and strong leadership. Benefits include Vision, Medical, Dental after 60 days, PTO, 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience in accounting (operational)
- 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance
- 18 credit hours in accounting preferred
- Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system
- Excel proficiency
- Ability to prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses
- Understanding of payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, and cost accounting
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Leadership and team skills
- Supervision and performance evaluation experience
