ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Job Summary
Manage the company's financial records and direct the month-end close process, year-end audit activities, and J-Sox Compliance. Supervise staff to ensure procedures align with generally accepted accounting principles while reporting quarterly consolidated financial results to business leaders. Maintain and manage all accounting systems, including travel, expense, and invoice processing, ensuring accurate GL posting and control compliance. Handle tax filings, banking relationships, and insurance audits while creating development plans for employees. Perform special studies and other duties as assigned. This role requires a 4-year degree in Business Administration or Accounting with 5 years of supervisory experience and an MBA or CPA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience as Accounting Manager or equivalent role
- Supervisory Experience
- Strong computer skills including databases, accounting systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting software
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Experience with managing external audits
- Experience in inventory and cost accounting
- Experience with consolidation, elimination, and foreign currency entries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and able to manage simultaneous deadline-oriented projects
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with both internal and external personnel
- This role can expect minimal travel, including overnight and potentially weekend or international travel
- This position requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station for extended periods of time
- Work also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking, and lifting (up to 20 pounds)
Desired Qualifications
