Job Summary
The Accounting Manager will maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and oversee payroll accruals and GAAP entries. This role requires cross-training in other functions, managing 2 Accounting Clerks, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, and delivering multiple projects on deadlines under the supervision of the Controller.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- At least 2 years’ Accounting experience
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Willingness to be very hands on
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- The ability to work well with co-workers and in a team environment
- Record of dependability and good attendance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum of Intermediate computer skills in Word programs
- Maintain financial reports, records, general ledgers and perform general bookkeeping for Parker Trutec, Inc.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including prepaid insurance and accruals
- File quarterly CAT and Sales tax
- Monitor and follow up on receivables
- Review payroll reports, monthly accruals, and GAAP entries
- Projects and other duties as assigned
- Own transactional accounting
- Manage 2 Accounting Clerks
- Other duties as asked by the CFO
