Job Summary
Accounting Manager role in Kirkland, WA with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. Responsible for leading and developing accounting staff (team of 2 direct, 6 indirect reports) and managing the regular accounting cycle, including financial reporting, month-end close, annual audits, and oversight of AP, AR, and Payroll. Drives GAAP-compliant financial statements, prepares analyses for leadership, coordinates with Corporate Finance for reporting and audits, and enhances accounting processes, internal controls, and system processes. Requires ability to translate financial results for non-financial stakeholders, strong analytical and communication skills, and the capacity to manage long-term projects in an unstructured environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred, but not required
- 5+ years in an equivalent role with a medium to large-size company
- ERP systems proficiency
- Excel proficiency
- GAAP knowledge
- SOX / 404 internal controls knowledge
- ASC 606 revenue recognition knowledge (a plus)
- Experience managing end-to-end processes with multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
