Job Summary
Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, manage 2–3 on-site and remote/outsourced accounting staff, own GL management (journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close), and collaborate with the CFO on monthly financial statements. Will support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and process improvements across the department; oversee the annual 1099 process and assist with bank relationships, audits, and department-wide controls. The role offers high visibility with the CFO and executive team and room for growth within the expanding firm.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time as manager
- Must have experience working in the financial services industry
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance with relevant accounting coursework
- CPA license preferred, or significant progress toward certification
- Strong financial and operational accounting knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; SQL or Access experience a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks or other automated accounting systems
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
