Job Summary
Manage cash flow and prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow reports, A/R & A/P aging, and payroll data. Monitor hotel revenues and expenses to ensure accurate recording, create annual budgets, and analyze variances to offer improvement methodologies. Establish and audit internal financial controls for purchasing, cash handling, and inventories while ensuring compliance with all regulatory licenses and permits. Direct or prepare financial reports for the Executive Committee, coordinate with CPA firms for audits, and supervise staff development. Maintain compliance with Highgate Hotels standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of related progressive experience in hotel Accounting or related field
- 4-year college degree with an Accounting/ Finance concentration and a minimum of 2 years of related progressive experience
- 2-year college degree and a minimum of 4 years of related progressive experience
- Proficiency in Windows
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Proficiency in the operation of all hotel-specific systems
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards
- Willingness to wear nametags
- Willingness to participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
