Job Summary
Accounting Manager leads a fast-paced, data-driven nonprofit finance team. Responsible for GAAP nonprofit accounting, monthly close, general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Oversees grants, donations, and restricted funds reporting; partners with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning; drives process improvements, internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with donor and regulatory requirements. Requires initiative, strategic thinking, strong Excel and accounting software proficiency, and supervisory experience. Emphasis on collaboration across departments to strengthen financial health and operational excellence, while maintaining accurate, timely financial information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred
