Job Summary
Accounting Manager for Gothic Landscape's Maintenance Division oversees daily accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Leads staff responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; conducts performance evaluations and coaching; fosters a collaborative, service-oriented team culture. Responsibilities include preparing month-end close files, posting journal entries, closing modules for new month, reviewing AP/AR cycles and ensuring timely vendor payments, overseeing credit card activity and compliance, and supporting special accounting projects. Preferred experience in the landscape/construction industries and proficiency with Sage and Paycom. Requires a Bachelor�s degree in accounting/finance and 8+ years of accounting experience with prior leadership and advanced Excel skills. Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 DOE, with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor�s degree in accounting or finance
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the landscape, construction, or related service industries.
- Experience with Sage and/or Paycom.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
